This could very well be RIM’s second highly anticipated product of this year! The BlackBerry Bold Touch 9900 has just received its Wi-Fi certification, which shows the upcoming BlackBerry Bold model packing Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n with 2.4GHz and 5.0GHz. While this may not mean much to most people it’s good news. It basically just means the Wi-Fi will be more powerful and provide better compatibility with the latest 5GHz routers.
Just to recap, the BlackBerry Bold Touch will be the first to sport the new BlackBerry OS 6.1, plus the new thinner design, with a 1.2GHz processor, 2.8″ touch display, with full QWERTY keyboard, mobile hotspot feature, as well a magnetometer, accelerometer, and lets not forget a 5.0 megapixel camera. It’s also rumored that the Bold Touch will be available in both a CDMA variant (for Verizon and maybe Sprint) plus a GSM/HSPA version for other carriers like AT&T,
This model will bring many orginal BlackBerry Bold 9000 users back to life, by taking on the classic Bold 9000 design, and slightly updated it with a trackpad and touch display. This is something many BlackBerry users have been dying to get for years now.
